Marsha Redmon, Esq.

Marsha is M Group Communications Training's founder and president. She is a former practicing attorney and award-winning journalist who specializes in teaching lawyers, executives and scientists how to communicate most effectively with the media, clients and each other. Marsha's expertise is in taking complex issues and helping her clients tell the stories behind them.

Marsha has coached hundreds of lawyers to get the media exposure and firm recognition they want through media training, public speaking and presentation skills and messaging workshops. As a former lawyer, Marsha understands the concerns and special considerations important for lawyers who talk to the media. She has also trained executives and spokesmen from the Fortune 50 to start ups -- with customized workshops on media interview skills, messaging, and presentation skills.

Marsha's experience spans broadcast news reporting, law and graduate level teaching. She was an award-winning consumer and investigative reporter on television. Her on-air news career spanned ten years in television and radio in major markets.

She also practiced law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Mazzarella Dunwoody. Marsha was a faculty member of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, where she taught Business Communications to MBA students full-time for two years.

Marsha has authored numerous articles on using media interviews and presentations for business development as well as other business communication topics for print and Web publications including: Legal Times; The Washington Business Journal; Strategies: The Journal of Legal Marketing; Law.com; Of Counsel; and T & D, the American Society of Training & Development magazine.

She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law and a cum laude graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in Speech Communication.

Rhonda Davis Smith

Rhonda has more than fifteen years of media, public speaking and training experience. As a former senior consultant for Franklin Quest Company, she has conducted personal productivity seminars for hundreds of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies.

She also worked as a television and radio reporter and anchor in Chicago and Kansas City, Illinois and Columbia, Missouri. Rhonda's corporate communications training experience includes presentation training for the sales and marketing departments of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Washington and Michigan, and coaching proposal teams for nuclear and environmental engineering firms who went on to win multi-billion dollar government contracts.

Rhonda has also worked in pharmaceutical sales for Bristol-Myers Squibb and Abbott Laboratories.

Rhonda is the author of Fearless Public Speaking. She is a graduate of Stephens College with a major in Mass Communications. Her postgraduate studies were at the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Journalism.

Scott Sayres has been an award-winning television journalist for the last 19 years, covering everything from hurricanes to politics. Nominated for numerous Emmy awards, Scott is also the recipient of the prestigious Katy as well as Associated Press and Radio/Television News Directors Association awards. A life-long local TV reporter, Scott's habit of being around "big stories" has earned national recognition. His work has aired on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC-even CBC and BCTV, the Canadian networks. Scott still works regularly for the major networks.

One of Scott's specialties is making complex business stories understandable to real people. He created one of the nation's few full-time television growth beats featuring multi-billion dollar bank deals, airline industry trends, urban sprawl and other environmental problems. Scott has earned a national reputation for his coverage of breaking news during his years in Seattle, Texas, Charlotte, and Las Vegas. Frequently tapped to cover major legal stories, Scott has covered dozens of capital murder cases, civil lawsuits and landmark Federal trials.

An accomplished interviewer, Scott has spoken with U.S. Presidents, world-renowned religious leaders, prime ministers, Fortune 500 CEOs, newsmakers and celebrities from the sports and entertainment worlds.

Scott graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
